Actually, the raw numbers don't look that good. BUT with a little bit of analysis, this is actually a really good sign. Unlike Democrats, Republicans are deeply divided in their purpose.

Democrats ALL want to take the White House, regardless of who their candidate is.

Republicans however are debating fircely between themselves between selling out their conservative values to stop Democrats or restoring the values that got them elected in the first place. Then in those divisions are further divisions for each candidate claiming to be that guy.

As a result, 48-49% (Democrats and ticked off moderates) are united behind Obama OR Clinton.

Whereas Republicans will say they WON'T vote for a fellow Republican because it will make their own candidate and/or purpose look just a little bit better.

In all actuality though, whoever wins the Republican nomination will have widespread support in the conservative ranks. These divisions will sprout out again after the election though unless the next Republican President (or Chairman) can heal them.

The ONLY candidate who can do that is Mike Huckabee. Good on you for supporting him.

I appreciate your comments. I look at the poll numbers as an indication that fewer people are disatisfied or alienated by Mike Huckabee. I say this because, looking at the "top tier" candidates versus Hillary or Obama, the gap widens.
I may be wrong, but I believe a true Conservative candidate fairs a better chance of uniting the base and defeating Hillary or Obama.

I do think that Conservatives need to unite behind 1 candidate that shares our beliefs and goals. My fear is that many will look at who they believe CAN win and not support the best candidate. Although the term "can" is irrelevant at this point, as the battle is just beginning. Who will be that candidate in a few short months is yet to be decided, lets all do what we can to ensure that candidate is Mike Huckabee.

Those are encouraging numbers, especially considering Huckabee's poor name recognition thus far.

Once people get know who Huckabee is, I KNOW those numbers will be much higher. How could they NOT BE? Huckabee is awesome!!
